plastic clip that attaches to window and raises it broke, dealership wants $179 for it, HELP.....
So my window was down and when I tried to raise it I could only hear the motor. Took the door panel off and the green plastic clip that attaches the window and raises it broke. The dealership said this whole assembly was the "regulator" and couldn't sell me the green plastic clip by itself. They want $179. Any other options for me?

I have followed the procedure in the tech article incling making a square hole in the metal carrier that sits at the bottom of the window where the new A6 plastic clip is attached to.
I have had to replace only the original green clip that broker towars the back of the car rather than the one closest to the front. Works like a charm and have had no problems in the past 2 years. Good Luck!
