Default Please Help A4 1.8TQ or A4 2.8Q?
I am about to buy a 97-99 A4Q. I am not sure if I should get the 1.8t or the 2.8. Which do you reccomend? I know that once the 1.8t is chipped it is quick, but wouldn't the 2.8 be fast chipped also? Is there any reason that the 1.8t is better? I want the 2.8. Thanks a lot for your info.

Default The 2.8 doesnt get as much from a chip as the 1.8t because the boost is turned up
on the chip when you get it for the 1.8t. Theres a whole bunch of turbo upgrades for the 1.8t and only one supercharger for the 2.8. hope that helps

the 1.8T has a bigger aftermarket, the 2.8 is luxurious and fast though, it all comes down to what you want to do. want another hobby? go with the 1.8, want to stay stock? go 2.8

If I end up not getting the chip for some reason would I be better off with the v6?
