Please Help with engine missfire
Having spent months restoring this 98 Audi Quattro 2.8 30v. I Did the timing, water pump, upper and lower pan gaskets, as well as the crank case venting system, and various other replaced bits as I wanted to get her into good order again. The timing is perfect, it runs great, and every single little piece is as it was, or better. Now it runs a little rough at idle and is throwing a code for an intermittent misfire on cylinder #3. I'm hoping for any ideas on what could be wrong with that one cylinder.

Did you replace spark plugs? also try swapping coils to see if the misfire follows the coil if so bad coil and then you would need to change it. if that is not the problem check your air filter a really dirty air filter can do that too. next the MAF (Mass air flow) sensor may be going bad or be dirty if you are swapping air filter clean the MAF with crc MAF cleaner and also clean the inside of the throttle body with carb cleaner and do a tb alignment afterwards. that should fix your problem.
