Default Please Help! Having trouble with my A4.....car goes from drive to neutral to drive (more)

It started yesterday as I was driving home from work. I was slowing down to get onto the highway and I noticed that the rpms were just climbing. I noticed that the car switched from neutral to drive. The car ran fine all the way home. It happened again today. I was at a stoplight and the gear went from drive to neutral to drive again. Anyone know what the problem might be? The car always seems like it is taking to long to change gears. Please help?

Default does the actual level move? the display? or just the tranny?

When an automatic transmition slips that is commonly the case. The actual selector does not move, but the rpms will climb until it catches.. then chirp.
I havn't heard of it being an issue with audi automatics, but i'm thinking it might be a dealer visit..
