Hello, I have a 2005.5 Audi A4 avant Quattro with 165,000. I 've never had any problems with the car until a couple of days ago. My oil light came on indicating that I need to add oil, I ended up adding 3 quarts of oil, the car seemed alright about 30 mins later i started the car up and a red oil pressure light came on indication the oil pressure was dropping. Then I noticed that it was making a loud noise. Does anyone knows what this can be? I have stopped driving the car, because I dont want to cause more damage. any insight would be greatly appreaciated..PLEASE HELP ME....

Can you get someone to pull the codes for you? Maybe a parts store close by.

Your car is a B6. I suggest you post on that forum. You might also consider including information on the engine type/size.
