Default poll: sport clutch & light flywheen VS new stock clutch & catback exhuast?

I my have to get a new clutch soon, and I'm on a limited budget, so what you you think?

1) get a sport clutch and a lightened flywheel.

OR

2) get a new stock clutch and a catback system.

I can't do both. Please give reasons with your answers...THANKS

Default hmm... then there are a hell of a lot of people on the performance boards who are really taking risk

I think that you refering to lightweight pullies and harmonic balancers etc... The LWFW he is talking about deals with the clutch, and reduces rotating mass, and allows the revs to fall quicker, etc...

Default sport clutch is like 450 ish even for a stage 4 spec clutch.

sport clutch with LWFW is like 1K

For 1K you could get your oem FW resurfaced, get a spec stage 3/4 clutch for 450ish and then get a borla cat back for like 530ish, and still put you near the 1K mark, which is what I would do.

Default what is a FW resurfacing? Is it a lightening mod? Who can do this?

By the way, good suggestions.

Default I am pretty sure resurfacing involves a trueing cut to make sure everything is straight.

I haven't got that far ..... yet

I think any capable machine shop could resurface it for you, though.

Either post a thread on the performance board about it, or do a search and see what turns up.
