Default Is it possible for the radio(concert) to shutdown one channel, left or right..no matter the settings

I was installing component speakers, got the drivers door done, and half-assed mounted....turned the radio on, and it sounded great. Finished mounting up the doorpanel, and checked it again....again, played perfect. Was cleaning up some tools, planning on doing the other side tomorrow....and suddenly, no more music from the drivers side. WTF. I took off the door panel again, checked and re checked the connections. All are good. The only thing I can come up with is that the factory headunit shut down that side. Stock speakers in the pass., and rear....drivers door would have been pulling a differet amount of ohms. Logical?

Default possible it went into protection if it recognized a short, internal amp got too hot

they build a protection into the internal amp to shut them off instead of burning up the output.

Default hmmm.....any way to reset it? The other door still works though.

Default Let it cool down....shut it off for a while and come back

And double check your wires. Are the components wired through an external cross over?

Default cooling now, thats what i was hoping for. It was only on for ~3 minutes though

yes, wired through an external crossover. JL Audio VR-525cxi. I have checked everything, its perfect. Soldered and heat shrunk. It was a sudden cut out, not like blowing speakers or anything.

Default maybe swap the crossover with the other side, or by pass it to the mid and make sure it's not the

issue

Bypassed the x-over altogether, nothing. Narrowed down now at least.
