Power locks

Power locks
Hi, I have owned and loved this car since November of 2009. Since then I have ignored the fact that 3 of my 4 power locks don't work. When I lock or unlock the car with the remote or lock button on the door, only the driver door goes up and down, the rest are non responsive. Thanks.

You must not have a vacuum leak if the driver's door works with the remote. I take it the trunk unlocks too? So we can assume you have vacuum at the other doors, which pretty much leaves the locks there as being bad. But that's a pretty weird failure. Those don't go bad very often, so to have 3 on the same car is weird.

Keep in mind that there are two vacuum circuits, one for the driver's door, a second for the others. I forget which the trunk and fuel door come off of. Anyway, could easily be a leak, I'd start with the pump, the tubes like to split where they attach. After that I'd look for leaks in the doors, they are harder (have to take the door apart), so start easy in the truck, and hope you're lucky.

My friend Mr. Bentley doesn't clear up much with this drawing.

I can understand confusion with the Bentley on this one. When I first saw that diagram I thought there was something wrong with it. Why would a distribution box have only one line, and the fuel flap actuator have three? When mine was leaking I looked over this diagram, decided it was wrong, and just took the car apart and traced it out. There are also other problems with the diagram, so if one just thinks of it as a basic guide it will help as it does show about where things are.
