power steering problem?

power steering problem?
I just replaced ps pump on my 99 2.8 30v due to some serious noise. and then I was trying to bleed ps system. I jacked up the front car and top off ps fluid. Then I tried to turn steering wheel lock to lock but the steering wheel was locked as I turn the wheel just a bit. I thought I did something missing during the assembling, but everything was just fine. So I did bleeding different way. Turned engine on for 3 sec and turn it off. so much bubbles in the reservoir at first. repeated 4 -5 times then no more bubbles. ps wheel seemed to be pretty smooth and I did test drive. Nothing was wrong. But still I don't know why the ps wheel was locked as I tried to turn. I don;t think it is normal... Appreciate for any comments. Thanks,

It seemed like just steering lock. Key off, wheels off the ground, then I turned steering wheel. but it just allowed about a few degrees of turing and then clicking and locked.
