i did a search on the forums, but haven't heard a definitive answer whether it's worth the cost, effort, etc. there was the note of one melted powergasket and that didn't win me over. any informative opinions appreciated.

is the evo part equivalent and/or better since it looks thicker (could function like a true phenolic spacer)?

I have had the evo in for like 30,000 miles or so... seems fine.
