Default is this a prob? Whenever I brake, the moment I come to a full stop...

I get this loud screeching sound from teh brakes. But it only occurs at the very moment that the car comes to a complete stop, like at a red light, for instance. It's just started happening as of late. I get no other noises during the braking process while the car is in motion - only in the moment when I come to a full stop. Any ideas? TIA.
APR V.3,Remus,Eurosports,S4 17" Wheels

Default Quite possible, but if that's true, then that's some serious space age stuff Foliatec's selling!

Default yeah, but wouldn't the brakes squeal at all times you apply them then? My car has 11,000 miles....

is this typically around when the stock pads wear down?
APR V.3,Remus,Eurosports,S4 17" Wheels

Default normal?

Might be. But you can check the pads. My 1.8A4 had 22k miles when I swapped the pads for mintex==less dust. Not worn much though.

Rust can make the caliper squeak when it pivots on the pins as the car rocks slightly reward.

Default My brakes are squealing at 20,000km, but normaly under light pressure...

It could be your pads, or you just might need some antiseaze on the calipers.

I'm going to have the dealer look at my squeeling on my next scheduled stop in about 1000km.
Wayne H.
