problems with idling

Has anyone out there experienced problems with enigine shudder while waiting at the traffic lights in drive? Please help!

Usually a dirty/faulty Idle Air Control (IAC) valve....

My 1 week old '00 2.8 QTip seems rough at stops too.

yes, it is an A4. unfortunately, it is not a high range model. it is FWD 1.6, using the old VW gti engine, with an automatic transmission.

In singapore, the 2.8 cost over one hundred thousand US dollars, and it ain't even a quattro!

sigh......

I'll go check on the IAC. But could it be the throttle control? have you guys had any problems with it?
