problems with my a4.
fun @ momentum audi
problems :
[1] clicking from unknown source
[2] grind noise after coming to a complete stop
[3] high pitched squeaking noise when going straight and not on the brake or gas.
[4] alignment is off
Last Friday (October 22) I went in to get the tie rods replaced, before this recall work, no weird sounds coming from the car.
Last Saturday (oct 23rd), i started hearing clicking and very high pitched squealing noises.
Monday (oct 25th) i went in to let audi take a look at it. they couldn't locate the source that quickly, i was pressed for time. I had 2 audi techs come out as well as 2 service managers.
me and another audi manager go for a drive, we bother hear the obvious clicking noise, he thinks it's something to do with the caliper pins holding the brake pads in place. i then pull into the main service bay, and an audi tech looks at it. he thinks its the backing plate.
so tomorrow on friday i will go back there and let them have my car untill they fix it. anyone else have this problem?
i think that it is what they did with the tie rod ends, or the caliper/rotor combo warping.
