vertical adjusters.. shine lights on a wall, set them
There isn't that much of a science to them if they are halogens. Try and angle them so they dont blind oncoming drivers. If you want to do them similar to how they come frm the dealer, make the left one slighty lower.

too cold to take pics now, but the lights are wierd, they have an angle (more)
there is an angle in the beam, on both lights, should i line it up or not? so frustrating.

sounds like they may be at wacky angles horizontally..
which of course, there is an adjuster for. You kinda just gotta play around with them until they look like something normal. You can find the link (i think it sin tech section) on aiming HIDs. It will give some general guidance.

Might be normal
By this I mean the top of beam pattern; these non -US headlights generally have a sharper cutoff pattern - stays horizontal for awhile then agnles upward at about a 30-45 degree angle the farther to the right the patter goes.
Will go along wiht HDClown; drive out to a level parking lot at night whre you can shine them on a wall about 30 yards away, then adjust pattern till you're happy with it. What I did with my Euros; see "Tech Reviews".
Hope they don't check headlight alignment at state inspection - if they do, you're scr*wed!

proper way to line up headlights, ....
even though you "modified" your lamps, your dealer may be happy to aim align them for you. with our projector style headlamps it's pretty easy to do a proper job of it yourself. now before you go too far, dig this. in the process of removing and replacing your units you removed three bolts on each. they each have about one centemeter of play, and the purpose of this is for rough alignment, so look at the mounting tabs to see if they look like they went back exactly in the same spot. unless your engine room was immaculate, their "footprint" should be obvious. if necessary loosen them and nudge the unit to where it used to be. the lower inner bolt is impossible to see, so just loosen the three, line up the top two in their footprints, tighten them, and then tighten the lower one. now, what you must have is: a #2 (standard) phillips screwdriver, and you MUST have a flat wall with a long, LEVEL(a must) area or driveway you can move your car around on. first if you pull your car up straight and square to the wall, a few feet away, you'll see two peaks of light above a distinct horizontal cut-off. you'll use the horizontal cutoff and the peaks to aim align your units. with the nose of the car about three feet away the pattern should look like this:
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/8546/beamnear.jpg">
cutoff should be horizontally level. in this first position, the left peak should be just to the right of your leftfrontcorner (i know, bear with me read it carefully and it'll make sense), and the right peak just barely to the right of your rightfrontcorner. when you move the car back, to the second position, about 20-30 feet from the wall, the left peak should migrate toward the right one, the right one should not move, and the horizontal cutoff should move downward about a foot. kinda like this:
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/8546/beammiddle.jpg">
in the third position, as far back as possible while staying on the level, the left peak should be trying to merge with the right, and the horizontal cutoff should be going lower. like so:
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/8546/beamfar.jpg">
if your three mounting tabs are in the exact locations they were before your clearcorner modification, and you need to adjust the beam pattern, pull up close to the wall again,use the large phillips scewdriver to turn the white adjusters on the back of the unit, one is for horizontal, one is for vertical, as you try turning one the left/right/up/down will be revealed, and adjust, do the back-ups, come back to the wall, adjust, do the back-ups, as necessary. then the real world horizontal cutoff fine-tuning. if people are often flashing you to turn off the highbeams you don't have on, pull up to a wall and lower each beam a smidge. if you are scared by the sharp horizontal cutoff obscuring the pavement a few yards in front of you, raise them beams up a smidge, find the happy medium.
