Question: Anyone here installed H&R Springs...
without installing shocks at the same time?
Am I stupid for even thinking this, or is this a pretty good way to go, considering I just bought exhaust and the springs I probably won't be able to afford a new set of good shocks for a while...

well the thing is..........
if you don't install shocks when doing springs, you'll have to do it all over again when shocks go in!!! (read cost twice as much)
But, the ride should be ok? NE1 else have xperience??

I did mine as well. The job is do-able, but you must be very careful!
You definitely need to be comfortable using spring compressors. In the process of compressing the spring to remove it from the shock body, you have a lot of stored energy in the spring. There is a pretty good write up in the Tech section on how to do the spring swap. It also list what equipment you need. Reading through the instructions in the Service Manual for removing/installing springs would also give you an idea of what is in store when changing springs. Good luck!
