Default Question regarding wheel spacers

I'm getting ready to mount my IWC Indy wheels, but I want to make sure I'm putting the spacers on correctly. With the wheels, I got 4 metal spacers and 4 metal wire "rings":
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/7764/spacer.1.jpg">

1. I assume the spacer gets inserted into the wheel so the beveled side of the spacer faces the inside (toward the brakes) -- is this correct? There is a cutout on the inside of the rim where it fits but I'm 100% sure which way it should face.
2. What do I use the wire ring for? It looks like it would fit around the outside groove that you can see in the spacer above, but it doesn't fit very tight (i.e. I could see the wire ring coming loose).

Thanks!

Default those arent spacers, they are hubcentric rings...

they center the rim on the hub, and if i remmeber correctly they way you have them in the picture is how you insert them into the rim, then the smaller silver wire rings are locking rings, which should be a little loose but they should keep the hubcentric ring in place and not allow it to fall out.

Default Yep...here you go

Here are the 17" IWC Indy wheels with Dunlop SP9000s. Please excuse the huge fist-sized fender gap -- I currently have the non-sport suspension, but the H&R/Bilstein sports go on this week.

Here's a closeup...man, that gap looks awful but it'll be gone by Wednesday. BTW, these are the OEM exhaust tips from Clair:

Default Dunlop SP9000 225/45/17

They're a little louder than I had hoped for; I'm coming from my winter Michelin Arctic-Alpins and the road noise seems about the same. I don't know if they will quiet down after the break-in period. They do handle very nicely in both dry and wet conditions...no complaints there.
