Default Question on servicing my '99 Audi A4...

I recentely purchased a 1999 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8L Turbo. When I turn on the car it says "SERVICE INSP" underneath the Miles it Just hit 120k and runs perfectly that I can notice. I looked it up and found that it is a Service Reminder Indicator. What is the interval of miles that this indicator turns on. It is only a reminder to get my car looked at to make sure everything is ok? It doesn't mean anything is wrong does it?

Default I think default is 10K miles. It corresponds with maintenance intervals.

Default Don't worry, pretty soon the cluster display will fade out and you won't be able to read it anymore.

So no more Service Indicator to bother you. :-)

Default Ya I don't want that to happen either!

Well I don't want THAT to happen either! HAHA. I was just wondering if it meant there is a problem or if it is mearly a Scheduled reminder after so many miles that it should get serviced.

Default

It's just a reminder. You can reset it - instructions in manual.
