Default Question using Seafoam...

Can I just pour it into a spray bottle and spray it into the Throttle body inlet hose?

If not... does the break booster hose easily disconnect here? I would like to just pull it of the hole in the firewall, but I don't want to yank too hard and break anything. thanks

Default use a small vaccum line......

somone here has done it before, search. will your car even run with the MAF disconnected liek that? i know if i pull my intercooler to throtle body hose (1.8T engine) the car will start, run for a 1/2 second then die. the write up i saw for the 1.8T the guy i think put a T fitting in the FPR ot diverter valve hose (tiny ones) on the intake manifold and just sucked up very little of the sea foam ata time out of a plastic cup. *disclaimer* dont do it based off this read some of the archives and also maybe the directions on the seafoam can.

Default I saw that post - It was a rely to another post written by be on this same subject...

the only problem is that I have a 1996 a4 12 VALVE. not the 1.8T. Those two vacuum hoses he was showing seem to be nonexistant on my car - or some place that isn't visible. The break booster line looks to be the best which is why i am also asking for the best place to disconnect it?

Default look on the throtle body, below (toards the intake) the throtle plate.....

i would think there may be some there. and if ur between the throtle plate and the intake there will be vaccum at idle. there HAS to be small vac lines for somthing.

Default oh there are vacuum lines everywhere, but I'm sure there are only a few that will effectively

distribute the liquid. Based on searches that i've done on AW, the best line seems to be the break booster vacuum line. if you or anybody knows the best way to disconnect this line without cutting it off the barb fitting, that would be great.

Default seems like this q's goes back and forth. There's a forum for the 12 valve engine; 12V development.
