Default Questions about putting an APR chip in my car.

I have a stock ecu set up on my car right now. Im getting an check engine light though, with an error code saying im running lean on one of the cylinders. It supposed to be a post maf leak or vacum leak. Ive fixed/tested all vacum lines that the problem could have been from and ive checked for post maf leaks. My cel is still on and im running in limp mode. I was going to chip my car soon anyway, and was wondering if I just chip it through apr and possible get the fault code option, will I be alright (not run in limp mode?) This would be instead of running a vag on the car and wasting money. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

Bad idea. First find and fix your problem.

well, without knowing the specific code its hard to know whats going on.you can un plug your batt for a few minutes and that should clear the codes along with your radio settings. if the code comes back you could do a presure test on the intake and see if you have a leak but I dont think thats your problem. its might me a coil or a plug if its a problem with a specific cylinder but its hard to say. if you have audi assured I would take it to the dealer. you should take a look at the bypass valve because that could be leaking. use the search function for more info or post again. again we need to know what the error is w/ more detail.
