Questions about VAG logs, CAPS times...
Put the new maf in a couple of days ago and decide to log some CAPS times. I logged blocks 02 and 03.
12.24 3640 110.76 85.9 13.5 12.82 3880 9.1 16.32 112.92
13.39 4120 117.22 85.9 16.5 13.97 4360 8.7 16.32 121.25
14.52 4560 126.81 85.9 18 15.1 4760 8.55 16.32 129.86
15.67 5000 133.26 85.9 20.3 16.3 5200 8.2 16.32 135.56
16.9 5400 137.29 85.9 21.8 17.49 5600 7.85 16.32 140.28
18.02 5760 141.67 85.9 20.3 18.58 5880 7.6 16.32 142.57
19.14 6040 142.71 85.9 20.3 19.75 6160 7.35 16.32 144.31
20.32 6320 146.25 85.9 20.3 20.9 6440 7.2 16.32 148.19
21.48 6560 148.06 85.9 21 22.08 6680 6.95 16.32 147.92
The MAF reading topped out at 148.06 g/s which converts to 185 bhp (IIRC). I have an APR stage one chip which should produce a reading closer to 165-170 g/s converting to around 205 bhp. What do I need to look at??
Another question, the fuel injector time topped out at 16.32 m/s. I know that this is a limitation on USA spec cars, but is the 16.32 m/s the actual duration or is are they squirting longer but the ECU cannot read higher. The 16.32 m/s at 6560 rpm is only 88% duty cycle.
The heat and humidity really sucks the power out of the engine.

Well yeah AEB's do have the sucky smaller injectors...
And I think it artificially tops out at 16.32 ms.
I 've heard of being able to go up to 252cc injectors and give you more gas on the top end without running rich. That may help. I think there is a eurospec AEB with a 21+ msec duty cycle, maybe you can upgrade to those? That's about the extent of my knowledge on the AEBs small injectors. My ATW is so much easier as I can just chip it and forget it. I may upgrade my AEB to 252cc injectors, it's stage 1 Neuspeed 1.1 bar. Your running APR 1.1 bar yes?

judging by the CAPS database...you're at the limit of the programming and k03.
most other 557P ecus in the database that have quicker caps times have k04s. sorry. you'll have to wait for cooler weather.

Exactly... and the DBW guys I think run like 17 to 19lbs boost seeing spikes in the 21lb. range too
because their not running lean on top with small injectors. I gleaned some good info from a heretic on Passatworld on this matter...

163K on original turbo, waiting for it to destroy itself...
wifey would shoot me if I decided to replace any else if it still works. When it breaks, I'll just go bigger. Now the dilemma is deciding which turbo setup for my daily driver....
