So I get back from vacation last night, go to unlock car with remote, nothing...start the car this morning and NOTHING. Dead battery. CRAP!!
Car has been sitting since last Wednesday and battery decided to die.

So I go to the local auto parts store, get a battery (interstate...any opinions? only one they had on stock for my car). So I go home and replace the battery. Car now running, etc..

Here are my two questions:
1. The battery vent on the interstate is different than on my OEM bayttery. Did the guy give me the wrong battery? Or do I need to just rig something for the new attachment point? How bad is it for me to drive around without the hose hooked up to the vent hose?
2. How do I veriufy he gave me the correct battery?

I would STAF but I JUST got back from vacation and have a millions things to do at work.

MPT91 with drain tube kit is what I wrote in my notes for when mine dies.

I also use battery mat under the battery to absorb anything that oozes off of the battery.

if you need the part#. I jsut instaleld the MTP91 weekend before last and mine didn't come with the vent kit. My dealer later got it for me.
