Quick qestions about the timing belt.

If you look up the recommended replacement interval I bet it's closer to his figure
if not dead on. Look, you're not going to get him to reduce his price based on what should be done.Just figure in a new timing belt in how much you want to pay, if he wants too much, move on.

alright, that may be true.
but i disagree upon your 2nd statement. If there is scheduled maintenance to be done i believe the person selling the car should either 1) take care of it before it is sold. or 2) take it into account on the selling price of the car.
If he sees it that way great, maybe we can make a deal. If not he can keep it.
