Radio Code help please

I just replaced my battery and the radio is in safe mode. I entered the code from my radio card per instructions in the manual ( four times), and it still shows safe (Concert I). I did a search and it seems others have had this problem, but I couldn't find a solution. Also, I did make some changes to door lock, and other functions with a VAG com, could this have effected the radio code?

no it shouldn't have. the radio may have been replaced

make sure you are entering it correctly then pull the radio and write down the number on the back. That is the number the dealer needs to find the code.

Mystery sloved

It seems the original owner had the radio replaced under warranty. Now if I can only get the dealer to give me the new code without paying the $45 they want!
