Default Radio help.....(Yes, I did read the manual)....anyway, new battery yesterday, radio now....

says SAFE - fine, I go and get my radio book that came with the car (the one with the 4 digit code) - follow instructions - no luck...the code does not work...tried again...no luck..will not work.

Then I got locked out for an hour like it says I will...I waited, tried again still won't take the code - has anyone ever had this problem?

Dealer can pull up the code if they have the serial number.

Are you pressing RBDS and PSCAN again after you enter the code?

If this is not the radio that was installed in the factory, but a replacement radio, then you need a new code. Dealer should be able to help out. Give them the serial number, and they will give you the code.

Default ahhhh, come to think of it, when I first got the car and had it in for service....

the service advisor told me they had some reason to replace just the face part of the radio - where the buttons are (I have no idea why) -
I bet I need a new code !!!

Thank you....

You have to pull the radio. The # is on a sticker on the top. Take car to dealer. Should take 5m.
