For the record, I tried to recode my ECU last night (A4 to A6) and it didnt work.

For the record, I tried to recode my ECU last night (A4 to A6) and it didnt work.
Oh well, at least I gave it a shot and know for sure now. Looks like this little trick will only work on the tip models.
I even tried to throw in different country codes (changed the first two digits from 00 through 09) but that didnt fly either.
Argh.
