Regular leatherette or sport cloth seats?

Regular leatherette or sport cloth seats?
This is a rather subjective question, but here is the story....I'll try to make it short.
After digging into the 1.8T vs 2.8 specs and rumours, I think my final choice will be the 1.8T (to meet my initial budget and because the 1.8T seems easier to modify).
However the 1.8T does not come with leather, but only leatherette or cloth (I wanted leather). I could live with leatherette but the other disappointment is that the sport seats do not come with leather in the 1.8T but with cloth only. I would like to know how durable they are and how good/bad is the quality of the material.
My other concern is that I'm not sure if cloth is a good match with Audi A4. It's a luxury car but sporty at the same time. I tried the sport seats and they're definetely superior in leather - not as much in cloth(in my opinion) which make me hesitating further more. The point to consider is that when buying cloth seats, the whole interior comes with coth.
What do you thing !? Thx.

DITTO big time. I've got them, and there's a world of difference.
They're a bit harder, not as soft and gushy as the leatherettes, but you don't notice it driving/doesn't bother me.

I have the leatherette and I love it! It is exactly the same as the Mercedes-Benz leatherette (aka. MBTex) and you won't have to clean and take care of it like leather. I saw several cars with leather before I got my A4 and unless you treat the leather regularly, it will look like crap in about 4 years.

Ditto. Everyone thinks it's leather. It looks great and seems to wear well...
Having the look of leather just makes the car "look" like the luxury car that it is. I would further recommend the cold weather package (assuming you have cold weather) for the heated seats - I've used them every day since the beginning of December.
