I have an A4 1.8TQS Avant which is 4 months old. Yesterday my remote key stops working and I've also noticed that my radio does not go off when I switch off the ignition. I tried the spare key but that doesn't work either. Any ideas? Are these things connected as before my radio always powered off with the ignition. By the way I am in UK.

Any help appreciated.

-I had the same problem with my key.. I changed the battery, nuthin... eventually the audi dealer changed my remote out.

The same thing happened to me about six weeks into ownership. Neither remote would work. I went to Audi, and they said that both remotes were defective (hard to believe), and they replaced both of them free of charge, and everything has been fine since then.
