Remote Range FIXED!!
I took my 2.8 in for the "Classic Remote Range Fix". The mechanic "Carl" installed the power booster antenna extension. The new antenna is now inside the rear bumper. My range is now awesome. I'd say on the order of 10x further than before!!<br>The dealer also did the central locking change. I went with code 16232. Carl show me exactly how he did it on the VAG 1551 programmer. During testing Carl felt the remotes were not up to par and replaced both under warranty (WOW). All in all I was very impressed with the extremely high level of help and very friendly atmosphere at Sunnyside in Cleveland. I cannot say enough good about the service department there. We had a good time sharing A4 stories and Carl also installed a new hose clamp on the power steering fluid resivior and refilled it. I enjoyed looking at the 28 A4's they had in stock. (I heard they sell about 45 per month!)<br>Roy M 2.8q Tip (With a remote range that will knock your socks off)<p>PS I was charged $ 0.00 for all the above. It sure is nice to have an Audi!!

Service Bulletin # for remote range fix?
Do you have any service bulletin number referencing your classic remote range fix?<p>My dealer (I have a 98.5 A4 1.8 quatro) in MI says that the only remote entry fix (under warranty) they have is for an A8.<p>I read an 8/24/98 post saying there was an "antenna update" being fixed under warranty, and range went from my/his 10 ft to 50 ft (like another A4 he knew about).<p>So I'm hoping I can get a bulletin number to get my dealer cooperating.<p>Thanks for any help you can provide--maybe the name of the dealer who did the fix so I can call and see if they can provide any Audi-supported warranty fix reference?<p>Thanks.<p>Paul
