Default Removing SAI Pump

I am in the process of removing the SAI pump. Hoses off, and three bolts removed, along with the connector. Pump is loose, but no room to remove it. What is the procedure for removing the pump? 00 A4 Quattro, 2.8....Thanks

Thanks..Oddly enough the Bentley manual only shows it on the 1.8 also. The setup is a little different, but the pictures will give me some other places to look at. I thought my bracket was welded on, but now maybe not.

I think there is a bolt holding it on. Let me know how you get it off.

Removed the bracket tonight. On mine there are 5 connection points. There is one bolt above the pump that goes in side to side. There are two bolts under the air box that go in front to back. And, in addition to these three bolts, the receiver/drier is mounted to the bracket with two studs, so you have to remove two nuts from underneath.

I picked up a SAI pump at salvage yard, but it wouldn't kick on with my test leads, just blew the fuse. I tested mine, and it kicked on, but every now and then would make a strange noise on coast down. I ordered a new one. I ordered one from stylintrucks.com (seems odd), but price was reasonable at 160.00 new.

Let me know when you get it in and let me know how it works out. I may pick one up if things turn out good.
