You should be fine, just try to get it done asap...
the best way to do it is to get them mostly tight, then set the car on the wheels on ramps, then tighten the bolts fully.. use 2 16mm wrenches..

Underdesigned is an understatement...
Audi should be ashamed for creating such garbage. Because of things like that, I won't consider any other VW/Audi products in the future.
