Looks reasonable and no alignment. I did STFA and the old post didn't come up with anyone that acutally used it, thought I'd try now that some time had past

Yes, but the front is the same whether you have Q or not

Default Years ago. Not the exact same setup, but kinda similar.

Works ok, just uses brute force to pull the bearing out.
You really want to make sure that the main bolt is strong, as there will be thousands of pounds of force on it. It would be a pretty awful thing to have that bolt snap mid-stream.
Use a reputable brand like Schley tools or Hubshark or something. You'll rest a little easier when you start cranking on the bolt.

Default All presses use brute force to press the bearings in/out :-)

some just do it better than others!

Default I was considering this tool also, but couldn't get any specs on it as to the diameter of the...

adaptors.

When I posted a similar question about a year ago, on this forum, no one had any direct experience with its usablility. Looks like nothing's changed since then.

I may just go for it and post my findings, if it doesn't work I can just take it back

Default Are you insane?

That would be like filling your engine oil with an eye dropper.
Beg, borrow, or steal a Hub Tamer or Hub Shark. Even with the right tool you're talking hundreds of foot/lbs of torque. Even with a massive slide hammer you'll be banging away for hours.

I rented a tamer for a half-rack of beer, and the job still took the better part of a day...
