Default Repost, still asking for advice.

Yesterday was not a good day for the ole Audi. I had to drive down to Tacoma for a (mostly) useless appointment. On my way home, I stopped to shop a little in Seattle. My front bumper was hit on the corner. No plastic damage, but four pieces of paint peeled off. Then, on my way home, I hear a big CRACK. Windshield slightly chipped, passenger side, quite high & small. I was relieved, until I got home to find that the culprit stone first bounced off my hood, leaving a glaring chip (I learned that the primer is quite white looking surrounded by dark paint).

My questions are these:

1) Can the bumper be professionally touched up? If so, can anyone recommend someone in the I5 corridor from Bellingham to Seattle to do this?

2) Can the hood be retouched? If so, same follow-up?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Default Yes, these paint chips can be fixed.

My rear bumper was scraped by another car. No damage other than paint removed. I called my Audi dealer and asked for a body shop recommendation. They gave me the name of a local shop that specializes in German car bodies. This shop repainted the bumper and also fixed a problem near my right front wheelwell due to a different accident (door ding).

The bumper is treated differently from the body since it is a flexible panel, but this shop was able to do both kinds of repainting (body and bumper).

By the way, my car is Santorin blue also.

Default Tough Day for Your A4 ...

We don't have windshield crack on our A4 yet
but I've got rock chips on the hood and the
front bumper on a B.Black A4.

I plan to do some touch-up paint work myself
and that's about it. Your problem seems more
serious. Try Oaklake body shop on Aurora
in Seattle. They do very good work on our
other cars.
