Rev Limiter

Does anyone know where the over the rev limiter is located on the A4 1.8 Audi? If you do could you email me and tell me where it is and how I can get to it. I would like to disconnect it so that I will not be limited to 120 miles and hour. Because when I get to 120 it slows down to 100 and then it goes back up even when my foot is on the peddle. Thanks<p>=)

It's integrated into the ecu

If you get a chip, it will raise the rev limiter (about 6800 rpm stock I think) and the speed limiter (132 mph stock I think). I don't think you should be bumping into the rev limiter at 120 mph. My MTM chip raised the rev limiter (I think it's 7100rpm now), but it's really unnecessary, there's no power over 6500 rpm anyway. I have found the best shift point to be 5500-5800 rpm. As for the speed limiter, well it's gone now, but I still haven't had it on a track so I haven't tested the top speed.<p>Regards,
