Reving at idle after TP install.
I installed a TP and now the car revs from 1000 to 1800 while sitting at idle. I doubt it is the TP that cause the problem. Whilst removing the airbox I found a check valve that had failed. Casing was blown out or melted. I replaced it with a piece of tube until I can get it replaced. Would this cause it to rev live this? It was also about 20 degrees outside, but has been like this often lately,

i just replaced that check valve yesterday. my wondering idle is gone, but it did not jump as high
as yours was. my guess is that you put straight hose in instead of a valve. when you change it back it will probably be back to normal if you did not change anything else

i had one valve, the L shaped hose, and two rubber vac lines torn when i checked on my boost leak
