Reviving old topic: closing the trunk/boot lid... (boot)
I usually just grab the handle on the inside of the trunk, and whip my arm downwards. The trunk lid pops down and locks into place.
With some practice, it actually looks pretty cool when you can do it with just enough force to close the trunk lid without slamming it. (Maybe I can convince my friend to videotape it and I can post it somewhere... or not.)
It also protects the paint job because you don't touch anything except that interior handle. But you could also just press on the license plate to close it too...
-PhilJ
98.5 2.8QtipS and LOTS of free time

If you remove the plastic trim that covers the latch, you'll see two 10mm nuts. If you losen these you can move the strike up. It doesn't take much. I have it adjusted so that it's butter smooth to close, just like the doors.
