I drove my girlfriend's 98.5 Wett 1.0 bar 1.8TAS to school today. As I drove through the expressway off-ramp while press the throttle to accelerate in order to merge, I heard a funny roaring noise from the passenger side from the engine compartment. I didn't turned an air conditioning on cause its cold here in Western Canada. I only turned on 19 degrees and turned on the CD-changer from the Concert stereo.
I haven't had this sorts of problem in my 97 1.8T.

P.S: Roaring is the only dsecription I can think of. Also, I only noticed when accelerate!
