Rod knock? is there something wrong here? need help
Last night when my friend and I got off work we were heading to a resturaunt. On the way there we gave the cars a quick spool or two. When we arrived my friend told me that my car sounded like it had a rod knock and that it sounded pretty bad. He asked if I had been dripping oil, and the car has never had a single drop of oil left behind at the garage or anywhere and ran perfectly. Well this morning I rolled it back to get my bike down from the wall of the garage and found a small puddle of oil. Since i had moved the car i cannot pin point where the oil came from, although it did not seem as viscous as my 15-50 oil that was in the engine. Anyways my car only has 40k and has been pampered like a baby as far as work, although i do track it sometimes and drive it hard. The car has not had any change in performance, although i am greatly concerned.
Thanks

do an oil change....check to see if you have a layer of brass in your oil...
it'll float to the top. If you do...you smoked your crank bearings and that can cause rod knock sometimes. But I seriously doubt you did that with 40K. If you did...then there is another underlying issue that needs to be addressed
