Rotors on 12v same as on 30v?
I'm asking because I'm thinking about buying a set of ATE Powerdisk rotors, which say the application is for the 12v. I have a minor warp on one of my rotors. It feels like it's from one of the front ones, but I'm not sure. I've got an appointment for Wednesday, but I think it'll ground itself out by then.
The vibration only occurs when the brakes are warmed up, and then only if I brake hard. Best way I can describe the problem is that it's like ABS is going off, only the pedal isn't pulsing.
I think I'll take the advice of a friend, and go drive around in the rain, then look at the rotors for rust spots.
98.5 Wett RamAir'ed Santorin Blue 2.8QMS

What...you don't like the ones JayP and I got?
I can compare my parts numbers with JayP and see if we got the same numbers from KVR on the Brembo Rotors. That would atleast tell you if the 2.8 12V and 1.8T are the same. Or, you can call KVR Performance and ask them if there is a difference in the rotor. Their number is 1-800-636-0854 (they are not open on Sundays). In case you talk to JayP, my part number for the Brembo Rotors (crossdrilled) was BREAU251CD.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM

The price is right
ATE Powerdisks run about $55 each. Brembos are getting damn near triple that. Anyhow, what can I say, I want my car to stay as much German as it can =) Seriously though, I've heard pretty good things about the ATE disks.
JayP bailed on us this weekend. He had to go out with his GF, instead of hanging around with a bunch of Audi nuts. I think he needs to evaluate his priorities :P
98.5 Wett RamAir'ed Santorin Blue 2.8QMS
