I'm hoping those in the know here can chime in.

I'm in the middle of installing my skirts but have a problem with those ridiculous clips that hold the flap of the skirt to the bottom of the car. The underbelly of my car is so thickly sprayed with underbody coating that the clips that go into the holes of the body will not sit flat even after I pryed out the rubber body plugs.

What have those of you who have done this mod done to make those clips work?

I'm tempted to cut the flap portions off the sideskirts and attach them to my car like any other aftermarket sideskirt would be. Opinions on whether this would work?

I had to do quite a bit of scraping to get the S4 sides on mine and then had to re-spray the undercoat when I was finished.
