safe to use a high pressure washer at a do it yourself car wash on the engine?

Default i was at the car wash when a friend did that with his 1.8t and i watched the car leave the car wash

on a flatbed =(

I documented a perfect way to wash the engine bay - high pressure is a big NO NO

Default i do it all the time. just steer engine cleaners from the alternator

do not use spray degreasers especially on the plastic check valves

Default I've done it a couple times....

but I usually just use Simple Green and a Hose, it's not like I'm going to be entering car shows or anything

Default I just fixed that bent wheel!

Now I have one clean rim, and 3 dirty ones

My wife is expecting her Visa anyday now, and should hopefully be here the beginning of August.

She wants to go to Ikea, so I'm sure we can make a weekend out of it and hang out/drink/bar hop/etc
