I'm guessing it was more than one item that had to be selected on purchase...

Default Well actually

I had to deal with PureMS shipping all my parts up to the yukon (billing address instead of shipping address). It was made clear that the parts needed to be shipped to Victoria.

After that I asked mike if i had been overcharged on shipping because it was sent up north. He said "nope shipping costs were fine"

the next day I emailed him again saying that I didn't believe that.

He said I was charged incorrectly for shipping, when he responded before he was at home and was just guessing.

I don't like people guessing with my money.
I also had to pay to have the parts shipped from the Yukon to victoria (75$) which he gave me as in store credit. I gave the credit to a friend.

The problem that arises with companies that have a good forum reputation is they become "untouchables," people will be afraid to post against them because of the huge flaming they'll have to go through.

Go on the b5 s4 forum and post "WMS is a bunch of crooks" tell me how that goes.

You can even have a valid claim, plus evidence to support your claims and people will still flame you because "XXX COMPANY IS AWESOME IT'S YOU THAT SUCKS I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM A++ XXX COMPANY"

how can you ever offer constructive criticism against a company if you're going to be raped by the normal forum users?

Default And if the timing belt breaks or the water pump leaks in a month?

Even if the parts supplier will warranty the part, you'll still be paying the labor twice.

Default that's the risk you take to save money

that's why you buy from reputable shops + do the work yourself

Isn't the idea of having your car done by the shop to avoid hassle and risk?
