i'm probably getting about 17,000 miles on each set of tires. i've tried using toyo proxes, and michellins. they were all performance tires, not to many choices for 19 inch. i'm probably gonna get kumho ecsta's soon, but i still have to take care of the tire wear problem

Default 17K is not unusual for performance summer tires if you drive aggresively...

Do they wear out unevenly?

Not sure if Dunlop SP9000 comes in your size, but it has a bit longer tread life than others, at the expense of not having as much grip maybe.

Otherwise, run on Kumho's so that you don't go bankrupt ;-)

Do you flip them? Inside to out?

Have you checked your toe specs? A set of wheels that has too much toe-out will result in the wheels pulling away from each other while trying to drive straight- This will definitely accelerate the wear on the inner tread faster than anything. Negative camber alone will wear tires quicker since the weight isn't being distributed evenly, but I do believe from personal experience that toe is the bigger problem. With all suspension mods, it is always a good idea to get an alignment which should include checking of camber, caster and toe. A combination of all these will reduce tire life significantly. Also... How often do you rotate your tires? Periodic rotation will not only let your tires wear better, but close inspection while rotating can tell you a lot about what's going on with your wheel alignment.
