Silly crappy German plastic... the A4 is now officially sunroof-less.
Had it open, then tried to close it and it wouldn't close all the way. Okay, fine, it's old and I'll just give up on it.
Whip out the hand crank and try to close it. No dice. Some little piece of plastic most likely stuck on the tracks. Crap.
Crank some more. Still stuck real good.
Run to the computer, check AW forums... nothing easy without ripping apart the headliner. F*ck.
Run back out the car, try cranking again. Still stuck.
Take bottom of palm, bang against sunroof from inside a few times and then try cranking again.
Voila! Closed sunroof.
Never underestimate the usefulness of banging on something.

This is a fairly common problem The guides for the sunroof are made of plastic...
They tend to break as you can see. Take the time to clean out the guide of any more plastic and it should work just fine. It will be noisier but still functional.
