Since the wheel and tire forum is DEAD...

... anyone know if a 225/40/18 tire would fit a 18x9 rim?

didnt know they have a room for that...

try 235/40/18, so you have a rim protector not a tire protector.

not real well.

You'd be better off with a wider tire, if not for looks, then for protection from curbs. 225's are best of 7.5" or 8" wide rims.

You'll want a wider tire for a rim that size. 225 is normal for 7.5 or 8

if i were you, i'd go no lower than 235
