Ski trip pictures... (and A3 sighting). [Warning: Lotsa pics!]
I cruised up to Mammoth Lakes, CA for a weekend of skiing last Thursday (02/28) evening.
On the way up, there were massive winds in the high desert. The quantity of dust
sand, and tumbleweeds flying across the highway made it very dangerous. (That's not snow, folks)

CalTrans and the CHP closed the highway - and we were stuck for about 1hr-20 mins
on the highway in the middle of nowhere while tumbleweeds the size of VW Beetles
would occasionally fly straight for my while we tried to stay warm in my car. The
noise when one of these monsters hit my car and screeched along the body almost
made my cry. There was nothing I could do as we would see the tumbleweed come,
I'd cringe and "Bang!... Kkkkkkkk...!" I was imagining scratches along the body, but
I was relieved to see there wasn't a single stratch anywhere the following morning.
There was a line over a mile behind us as the cars acculumated while waiting for
the road to open. We were stopped at about 11:20pm, and at 1am the road was re-opened.
This pic doesn't do it justice -- it's around 12:30am and I could barely stand from the wind!

And a rare appearance of the snow-flake icon on the dash! (It's rare when you live
in So Cal) :-)

I dropped off my girlfriend at the Designer Outlets in town while I gassed up for
the return ride home. Lo and behold this A3 catches my eye. So I follow it into
the next shopping center. While the driver's buddy was returning a video I snapped
a few shots. The driver was a very nice gentlemen - and he said he didn't mind if
I took pictures. He also said I was the 3rd Audi driver to notice his car.

After that, we hit the road again for the return ride home.

This S4 caught my eye just as we entered LA. :-P
