Default So my TyrolSport adjustable FPR can't be adjusted under 45 psi with my Walbro fuel pump

I checked with TyrolSport and they said that the 2-6 bar range is only for the OEM fuel pump because on an aftermarket pump "the volume and pressure can't be minimized as much". Am I going to have this issue with all/most adjustable FPRs? I don't want to go under 3 bar, but I would like 3 bar with an adjustable regulator.

Buy a Fuelabs regulator and forget problems.

Default No I mounted mine on firewall and ran a braided hose to it, also line to guage.

Why would you find it necessary to mount to the fuel rail? I know some of the old Audis had the rail where the FPR was mounted, but I thought your setup was a little beyond that?

Default No, it's an OEM fuel rail and the regulator is mounted into the rail. I'd have to plug it

or get a new rail

Default How much lower do you need to go?

I dont see why you would have a problem going below 3 bar with the walbro pump, they are used on NA cars all the time and really dont like really high pressure since their flow at that point sucks.

I ran pressure below 45psi with my walbro and didn't have a problem.

just 43.5 is what I'd like. Maybe the TyrolSport is weak

Default Well if it was made to go down to 2 bar then it should be fine.

Only way to find out is to just set the fpr at 43.5psi and keep an eye on how the car is running. I dont think going 1.5psi lower is going to be a big issue. Even with the vac line on the fpr you shouldn't be any lower then 39-40psi.

Default What I meant originally is that I have tried adjusting under 45 and it just will not

I've had the adjuster completely out and 45 psi is where it sits.

buy a 3 bar one (transverse 1.8T), and put an in-line one on the return to raise it up if needed
