so, on my way home from work last night, A4 starts stumbling from misfiring, and the CEL is flashing

Default Jeff, get the part # Ray listed. It WILL work in your car with NO modification.
And it's $25.00. We were floored to see that it's a direct plug-in.

Default done. just had a local VW dealer hold the O2 ($21.63) and an "L" version coilpack ($28.18) for me
to pick up tonight after work.

I'll install the O2 and see what happens.

Default Yep...I JUST got back. Damn, I like flying down there. :-p
The original connector is kinda FUBARED...actually I can reuse Jeff's original connector if you still want to try it. I almost mastered removing those forsaken pins!

I picked up the VW one last night. not sure if it'll work or not. we'll find out tonight.
