Default So the oil cooler didn't solve my problem =( Coolant still turning yellow and thick fast....

What could it be? I just spent 4 hours replacing the oil cooler and flushing only to have it return almost immediately....

Suggestions? I may have to sell the damn thing if i can't fix it

Default My mechanic originally told me he thought it was a head gasket, but AW said it was my oil cooler.

Is there anyway to really determine if its the head gasket?

Of course.. Compression test, among others. How does the car run?

Default I spent somewhere around 2 hours flushing it, but I know I didn't get everything out =\

Whats the BEST way to flush? I was running detergent and water through it like mad. And I was putting water in, running for 5 minutes then dumping.

Default That should get most of it.. Did you have the heat going at that point?

Was it hot enough for the thermostat to open? IF not, there's plenty of oil potentially in the radiator and heater core still..

Out of curiosity, while you were flushing it, did you get to a point where the water was oil free?

Default I had the heat going for the second run of it, and the water was eventually clear.

I'm wondering if your right however, maybe there was still some oil stuck in there because it doesn't look near as bad as before
