The Bentley has these nice little tools that screw into the frame as the '4th bolt'... I checked PureMS and ECS to see if they sell 'em or something. Anyone have clever replacements?

I just slide it into service position then line up the back holes by the headlights
to the front marks on the fender. Gives you a few inches. Then you just screw it back in.
In other words
When you are removing your lock carrier there are two screws on the passenger side and two on the driver side that are in line with each other.
You unscrew both, then let the lock carrier slide forward (obviously after undoing the bumper supports + screw on the fender by the bumper hanger both passenger and driver side)
Then as it slides forward you line up the front back holes on the lock carrier with the front holes on the fender and put the screws back in
(one on the passenger, one on the driver)

Ah, but what is supporting the lock carrier once you've slid it out?
I'm replacing my PS pump, if you didn't know... I'm not sure how much clearance I will need, but I still have to get at the tensioner and stuff.

no :(
mine is a bone head move of going the wrong way and stripped the threads... when an IC hose blew off while on track, limp around the paddock trying to get back to my area, pull the bumper off to get to the hose, and... oh ****, what was that sounds, uh oh...
