So who here owned the car from new?
I see lots of new names and barely recognize any.
Quick background, my car (97 a4 1.8 automagic) is actually a company car, and the company is a family business, with dad and mom managing it. Very common scenario in asia for those of you who are unfamiliar.
My car is still running good, but mom wants to sell it to my sis's bf, who imho, is a total leech. Past awot users might be familiar with my constant complain about that fvcker. By selling, I do not expect him to pay fair market price, mom might as well give it to him for free the way things are.
I currently have another car and a bike (arriving soon), but will dearly miss the A4...many fond memories of it. The car was in the family since new, and I've been the one driving it 99% of the time. She was a good car, and only broke down on me TWICE in all these years. One broken CV joint, and another leaking coolant pipe.
That's all, just a rant. Dont think there's much doable to change the transaction
We did briefly mention about getting a B8 A4 to replace the B5, but somehow i dont really fancy it. Nice car, but i just dont want to let the B5 go.
<end of rant>

I recall you from days gone by. Lots of the other guys (almost the entire old userbase) has moved to here: http://forums.quattroworld.com/a4/
You should recognize lots of names there.
I understand your situation and am adding another B5 to my stable. Just can't find a better car right now.

Nice to know you guys are still around.
The car is 99% gone it seems, dude drove off with the car today
Dad even gave him a 3 month trail period to see if the fvcker can cope with the car.
Would like to look into a e46 M3 CS if possible, else I'll just pick up some cheap crapy japanese beater. Not going for another audi for a while because the nice ones are too damm expensive, and another A4 dont make much sense.
This sucks so damm much. Did not have the fantasy that the car could last forever, but never knew it'd come so soon, and parting it to some ******* (who i suspect wont know how to maintain it) just makes things worse.
